Clunk, clunk, clunk rumbled up the large hall where it washed against the massive double doors of the throne chamber. Four Stormers stood guard. Black armor that absorbed the sun shining in from their left. The inner two Stormers stood with pike staffs crossed in front of the double doors, as the outer two stepped forward, glancing down the length of the marble to the approaching silhouettes.
Eerie tension thickened with the two sets of armored boots pounding in unison; one jagged and silver, while the other was pristine and gold.
“Is there a reason Sara and Cole stayed back on Talon?” Drake asked as he and Theo grew closer to the throne chamber.
